Kate from the Environment Collective is organising a series of tree planting weekends with the Regent Honeyeater Project.

Here are the details:

What: Planting trees for habitat

When: There are four weekends this semester: 7-8 and 21-22 of August and 4-5 and 18-19 of September.

Meet: Benalla Post Office at 9:00AM on the Saturday, then head out to Lurg Hills.

Getting there: If you have a car, Benalla's about 2.5 hours from Melbourne. There is also a train up on Friday nights.

Accomodation: Most stay for free on mattresses at the Scout Hall. Other options are available. You can stay Friday and Saturday nights.

Food: Organise your own picnic lunch for Saturday and Saturday/Sunday breakfast. Great three-course meal provided on the Saturday night (followed by a bush dance) and BBQ lunch provided on Sunday.

Bring: Sleeping bag, pillow, sun protection, gloves, wet weather gear (in case) and a change of clothes.
